This is a list of the best dubstep songs 2012 has to offer but only as of now. That is why you have the 08/12 in the title; 'tis not for aesthetic value. When it comes to the best dubstep songs lists, things always tend to get murky.
Dubstep is plenty new and a lot of people can’t even tell whether they are listening to the mainstream dubstep which is usually pretty watered down or the real grimy dubstep that built dubstep into the galactic movement that it is.
This list has a little bit of both just to ensure that everybody here gets to crunk up their speakers even if only for a while. Go ahead and comment with any other great songs that didn’t make the cut but you feel should have been on here and we will give you a shout out on the next list.
10. Magnetic Man ft. Katy B
It is not very often that you come across a dubstep song that actually follows the laws of music. Nice simple dubstep. I think this is one of them. Rhythm sounds good and Katy B. knocks it out the ball park.
09. Rihanna - Rude boy (Chrispy Remix)
Some will kill me for putting the word Rihanna in BEST DUBSTEP but we all have to agree that there is nothing as good as a cool dubstep remix. The thing i love the most about this song is the use of the chirping bird. Dubstep is all about bringing sounds to the ears in a way people have not dared to venture before. 08. Mt. Eden - Sierra Leone
Happy, heavy and sad at the same time. This song is literally one of those dubstep songs that brings in new followers into the camp. It's a masterpiece that will keep popping up on best dubstep songs lists for eons to come. It was actually my first free dubstep download because i had no cash to buy it but needed to have it like a fix!
07. Dogde & Fuski - Python
This piece is too great for air drumming but the rhythm is cool as well. A lot of Dodge and Fuski dubstep songs are cool but somehow i always lean back to this one.
06. Sub Focus - Falling Down ft. Kenzie May
You can never have a dubstep session without throwing in this one. The beat is great from A to Z with its crazy wobbles and drops. What if i told you it's the reason I and I made this blog? Lol. Great vocals by Kenzi May as well. Big Up!
05. Freestylers - Cracks ft. Belle Humble (Flux Pavillion Remix)
Yet another remix that is just off the hinges. This one is literally responsible for my new speakers. Blew up my old ones like waddeffa i'll get others! You guys saw the blind kid who played this on a piano after hearing it once? Crazy. Check it out.
04.Caspa & Rusko - Cockney Violin
I mean, have you ever heard sound so nice? This was total brain function meltdown for me. Always going to be one of my best dubstep songs no matter the year.
03. Skrillex - Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites
This is just an excellent display of sound mastery from the one and only Skrillex. Transformers come to life!
02. Foster the People - Pumped up Kicks (Butch Clancy Remix)
Yet another remix to go gaga over. Love the scratch that slows this dubstep song's tempo down and still kicks it up ready for the drop & wobble. Marquese Scott dancing to it does not hurt either.
01. Skrillex ft. Damian Marley - Make it Bun Dem
Dubstep master plus Dubplate master..what more can i say? These two managed to bring two of the best types of music together. They both killed their crafts! Ooooh wee!
